Cut from a wool blend in a deliberately generous silhouette, the Merritt Women's Double Breasted Wool Coat is built to hang from the shoulder rather than hold a shape against the body, with a soft matte surface that sits quietly over whatever is underneath.
The dropped shoulders and wide straight sleeves are cut with enough room to go over a chunky sweater without pulling, and the body runs straight to mid calf with the hem sitting wider than the chest on every size. Six flat tonal buttons close a double-breasted front under wide notched lapels, and two pockets sit flush into the side seams.
Fully lined, it layers easily over knitwear and tailoring alike through the coldest months of the year.
